About
Hannah Parks, MA, LPC
Hello, and welcome. I am a Texas Licensed Professional Counselor with more than six years of experience in crisis counseling, trauma, anxiety, depression, and suicide prevention — including work in Christian counseling and partial hospitalization settings.
I earned my Master’s in Professional Counseling from Dallas Baptist University, and my undergraduate degree in Psychology and Equine Studies, with an emphasis in Equine Facilitated Mental Health, from Asbury University.
I believe behavior is a language. It tells you what is happening underneath — in your emotions, your values, the things you believe about yourself. Most of my work is helping you hear that language clearly, and then do something about it.
I am a Christian counselor, and I am glad to bring prayer and Scripture into our sessions if that is what you want. That is always your call, and never assumed. Clients of every background are welcome here.
How I help
What we can work on together
My primary focus is anxiety and depression. Many of the people I see are managing more than one thing at once, and that is normal — we start where it hurts most.
Adolescents, adults, and seniors
Individual therapy, one-on-one. Sessions run 60 minutes.
Online, anywhere in Texas
Secure video from wherever you are — no traffic, no waiting room.
Weekday appointments
Daytime slots through the week. Start with a free 15-minute call.
My approach
Safe, seen, and heard — and challenged.
My main approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which is a practical way of understanding how your beliefs, thoughts, emotions, and behaviors feed each other. Alongside it I draw on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and humanistic work, and on a faith-based lens for clients who want one.
I want you to feel safe here. I also want you to be challenged in the area of your life that is holding you back — those two things are not in conflict. My hope is that you leave each session knowing yourself a little better, and that your relationship with yourself is getting stronger.
You are capable of facing what is in front of you. Often what is missing is not strength. It is a clear look at what is actually going on, and a plan.

Questions
Before you reach out
Do I have to be a Christian to work with you?
No. I am a Christian counselor, and faith is available in our work if you want it — prayer, Scripture, a faith-based lens on what you are facing. You lead that. If it is not part of what you are looking for, we simply do the work without it, and you are just as welcome here.
Do you see clients in person?
No, all sessions are virtual. I am based in the Dallas–Fort Worth area and can see anyone located anywhere in Texas.
Do you work with couples or families?
Not at this time. I see individuals one-on-one — adolescents, adults, and seniors.
How do I book?
Everyone starts with a free 15-minute consultation. The only thing that changes is where you book it. If you are using insurance, book on Headway — that is where your coverage is verified and your cost is confirmed. If you are paying out of pocket, book directly with me. Both links are in the Rates and Insurance section.
What happens on the free consultation?
Fifteen minutes, no cost, no pressure. You tell me what brought you here, I tell you how I work, and we both decide whether it is a fit. If I am not the right counselor for you, I will say so and help you find someone who is.
How long will I be in therapy?
That depends on what you are working through, and I will not pretend otherwise. Most people start weekly. We review how it is going together, and we adjust.
What if I am in crisis right now?
This practice does not provide emergency services. If you are in immediate danger, call 911. For free, confidential support 24/7, call or text 988, or text HOME to 741741.
Get started
The first step is a conversation.
Fifteen minutes, free, and no commitment. Tell me what is going on and we will figure out whether working together makes sense. Book it on Headway if you are using insurance, or here if you are paying privately.
